Questions researchers ask us

- What do I need to send to start a project?
- Your structures (for example PDB, SDF or MOL2 files), sequences (FASTA) or data, your research question and your deadline. Send them to simulations@bioinfoxlab.org or through the contact page.
- How long does a project take?
- A 100 ns simulation takes about 3 days, DFT for one molecule about 2 days and docking about 2 days. Typical times for every service are on the services page, and your quote gives the exact timeline.
- How long can your simulations run?
- From 100 ns to 2,000 ns, and we can run up to ten simulations in parallel.
- What will I receive?
- For simulations: trajectories and topologies, graphs as images and xmgrace files, structure snapshots, a trajectory movie and a written report. See a 100 ns sample output. Other services come with the data, the figures and a written report.
- Will you help me publish my paper?
- Yes. We help researchers publish their research by writing up methods and results in a form a manuscript or thesis can use. Acceptance is decided by the journal.
- Who stands behind the results?
- We do. We take full responsibility for every analysis we perform, and our results can be challenged anywhere. If we made an error, we correct it and rerun the work at no charge.
- Is my data confidential?
- Yes. Your files and results are used only for your project, never shared or published, and we will sign a non-disclosure agreement if you need one. See the Privacy Policy.
- Do you work with researchers outside Pakistan?
- Yes. We have completed more than 1,000 projects for researchers around the world, and we work entirely remotely.
- How much does a project cost?
- Every project is quoted once we know its scope. Send us a short description and we will reply with a price and a timeline.
- Are your trainings online?
- Yes. Trainings are live classes on Google Meet, for participants based in Pakistan. See the current program.
- Do trainings come with a certificate?
- Yes. Participants who complete a program receive a certificate, a project for their CV and mentorship, and top performers are offered an internship at BioInfoX.
- How do I register for a training?

- Is BioInfoX a registered company?
- Yes. BioInfoX (SMC-Private) Limited is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, CUIN 0352412. Verify on the SECP portal.
