Who we are

This website is run by BioInfoX (SMC-Private) Limited, a company registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (CUIN 0352412) and based in Lahore, Pakistan. For anything in this policy, write to info@bioinfoxlab.org.

What this website collects

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used (see the Cookie Policy). It uses no advertising tools and has no user accounts.

The project brief form on the contact page sends what you type only when you press a button: it either opens a message in your own email app, opens WhatsApp with your brief, or, where direct sending is switched on, delivers your brief to our inbox through the Web3Forms form service. The website itself stores nothing you type.

Information you send us

When you email us, message us on WhatsApp, send project files or register for a training, we receive what you choose to share, for example:

• your name, email address, phone number and institution;
• your project files: structures, sequences, data sets and research questions;
• training registration details and payment confirmations.

We use this information to reply to you, prepare a quote, carry out your project, run trainings and issue certificates. We do not use it for anything else.

Your research data

Your files, results and research questions are confidential. We use them only for your project. We do not share them, publish them, or use them in our own work or marketing without your written permission. The data and results we deliver belong to you.

Who we share information with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only when we must to deliver your project or training, for example through our email provider or a file-transfer service, or when Pakistani law requires it.

Third-party services on this website

• Google Analytics. Google Analytics records how the website is used (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser) and sets cookies to recognise returning visitors. Google receives your IP address and processes this information under its own privacy policy. We use the reports only to improve the website.
• WhatsApp. The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, run by Meta. Messages you send there are covered by WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
• Hosting. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, page requested and time) for security and reliability.
• External links. Links to LinkedIn, Google Scholar, NCBI, the SECP and other sites are covered by those sites’ own policies.

How long we keep information

We keep project files for as long as the project and any follow-up questions need them, and we delete them when you ask us to. We keep invoices and payment records for as long as Pakistani law requires.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us, including limiting who on our team can see project files.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@bioinfoxlab.org and we will reply.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
